Senior Java Back End Development Engineer (Germany) (offline)

Requirements

- Experience Java8+ is a must;
- Profound working knowledge in software engineering in Java-based backend technologies developing Web Services (REST);
- Proven experience in developing microservice-based projects, at least for 3 years;
- Hands-on experience in synchronous/asynchronous messaging one of the message bus technologies: ActiveMQ, Kinesis, Kafka;
- Experience in API versioning;
- Proven experience in writing Unit testing;
- Spring framework hands-on experience
- Familiarity with agile/collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab);
- Demonstrated competency using cloud technologies;
- Strong proficiency in the English language, an agile mindset, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to embrace change & new technologies;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field/Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or another related technical field.

Responsibilities
This role is responsible for planning, estimating, and developing product interfaces in an agile environment in alignment with the product owners. The Backend Development Engineer actively partners with the client’s product/solution owners to translate jointly defined unit tests into working, scalable customer solutions. Moreover, this role defines quality assurance processes in close cooperation with the QA team and supports the developed solutions throughout the life cycle of the application – contributing to the development of standards, guidelines, & best practices.
