Junior Manual QA (offline)

Access Softek is a software company headquartered in Berkeley, California with offices in Manhattan, Chicago, and Vancouver.
We are creating a digital banking solution: online banking, mobile banking, omnichannel lending, and omnichannel account opening.
Today our 300+ employees are serving over 400 financial institutions and reaching over 3 million mobile banking end-users every month.

Responsibilities
Work with Requirements
Review & analyse business and functional requirements
Making suggestions for requirements improvements (when inconsistent, contradictory, unclear or not full enough)
Test Planning
High-level estimation (in Story points, t-shirt sizes), based on AC, & detailed estimation during Sprint planning
Required test coverage evaluation & traceability matrix creation
Test Design
Test documentation creation (detailed test cases, checklists) for new features
Work with test documentation, created by colleagues, making suggestions of test cases improvements (if necessary)
Regression test documentation updating
Test Execution
Test data creation
Test cases execution based on test cases/checklists
Manual testing of web and mobile application on different platforms and devices (new feature testing, regression testing)
Tests prioritisation & the most important tests selection for execution under conditions of time lack
Defects Reporting
Defects reporting and work with bug tracking tool (Jira), defects supporting during life cycle
Tests Results reporting
Review, analyse and document test results and metrics (work with CF, Jira, google-docs)
Team work
Collaborate with other QA team members, Dev and PM teams;
Work in Scrum Team (Agile methodology)

Requirements
- Courses about testing or Recent grads & soon-to-be grads in Computer Science.
- English level (speaking, writing, reading) - upper-intermediate level
- Good knowledge of QA process, terminology and methodology.
- Ability to write clear, audience aware and business-like e-mails, status reports and summaries
- Willing to adjust your schedule to synchronise with the team
- Ability to recognise when an issue needs to be escalated to a higher level
- Ability to learn new tools & technologies quickly
- Good teamwork skills.
- Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised with ability to handle multiple tasks

Nice to have
- Knowledge in defect tracking systems and test tools.
- ISTQB certificate
- Ability to think beyond just what is on the monitor to the servers and architecture of the entire system.
- An understanding of networking and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, asp, Flash, etc.
