SQL Server DBA for The Bauen Group (offline)

About the client:

The Bauen Group is seeking a highly experienced SQL Server DBA to support developers as they enhance existing custom Windows applications and web-based portals working closely with Project Managers and Product Owners.
The client is developing and rewriting a service that provides all kinds of things for a house from remodeling to fixing it up. The application helps to process all the orders and find a local installer, made arrangements for installations.

Responsibilities:

The SQL Server DBA will assist with ongoing effort consisting of the analysis, design, planning,
development, and testing of custom Windows applications and web-based portals. The databases have
been moved to AWS and are hosted on VMs in a highly available configuration, and there are also
replication relationships between systems. The DBA will assist developers during the development process and also validate the database interactions during QA. Performance optimization

Requirements:

• Must be comfortable estimating tasks and assisting Product Owners in refining the product backlog. Experience working with order management systems is a plus.
• Must have 8+ years of experience as SQL Server DBA
• AWS Platform experience, including migration steps as well as on-going maintenance
• Strong capabilities for tuning queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Ability to work with developers to build optimal database structure
• Configuration of SQL Server Reporting Services
• High Availability configuration
• Replication configuration
