Middle/Senior Haskell Engineer (offline)

Signal Vine continues to build an enterprise communications platform that allows organizations to apply behavioral science to communications to influence behavior, change outcomes, and improve the economics of their business. The platform combines text messaging with data analytics to deliver a highly personalized and interactive experience for our customer’s constituents. The ideal candidate will be a great teammate that brings creative problem-solving skills to the job while maintaining the dedication and focus required to achieve results.

Job Responsibilities:
● Develop APIs and features for the distributed, high-load applications using Haskell
● Together with the team in the US, tackle challenges in application security
● Strive for quality and architecture scalability
● Challenge the status quo and drive database and query optimization
● Improvement of backend services for solving real-world problems
● Support and develop our technical culture by being engaged, intellectually curious, friendly, motivated to solve complex problems, and inspired to deliver superior user-centered design
● Deliver code that is scalable, readable, and flexible enough to adapt to changing

Qualifications
● Adequate software engineer experience
● Knowledge and passion with Haskell or other backend/fp languages
● Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
● Experience in developing both server and web applications
● Experience in system design, API and data modelling
● Understanding of CI & CD, automated testing
● Familiarity with Linux systems, command line environments and cloud-based deployments

As a plus
● Experience with functional programming languages like Haskell, OCaml, Clojure, Scala, etc
● Experience with messaging services and databases (MySQL, Dynamo DB, PostgresSql, etc.)Experience working with relational databases, Postgres in particular
