Senior Java Developer (offline)

Project Description:
We're growing our team that is working on development of a market management project for energy markets.

This system is developed for a joint allocation office which proceeds auctions for twenty-two Transmission System Operators (TSOs) from nineteen countries and operates with 29 European county borders. Different kinds of transactions on daily basis takes place here. JAO is targeting to become the Single Allocation Platform (SAP) for all European players.

Here you can try yourself on variety of technologies since application is consisting from several projects based both on java and .NET (we expect that you'll be developing only java-related parts). Business logic is always an agreement of current combination around variety of possible markets rules. Performance planning and optimization so that all required data flows are in time is a challenge. Decision-making directly with customer requires good analytical & communication skills. Development here is always the ability to take risk and be responsible for the decision.

You will working together with 2 other team members from Luxoft and project lead and QA automation engineer from client's side. We're now in the phase where we need not only to develop additional functionality, but also to introduce some technical upgrades for the system before major release in October 2020.

As we're looking for a long term cooperation, after October release you will be able to join one of the bigger market management projects we're doing from our client.


Responsibilities:
New functionality development (java part) according to specifications/tasks;
Defect fixing;
Unit & integration tests;
Design documentation creation;

Also nearest release includes:

- Migration from Oracle database to PostgreSQL
- Upgrading to Java 11 (I think we are at 7), including some third-parties
- Reengining the data interfaces middleware


Mandatory Skills:
