We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our team.
The Senior Automation QA Engineer contributes to GeoGuard’s success by developing automated tests on Python and RobotFramework and reporting on the quality assurance of our software to ensure applications are functional and provide a great user experience for all of our customers in the PLC/GDK team.
Our ideal candidate has at least 3+ years' of experience in a similar role. You possess intermediate knowledge of manual and automated testing principles and object-oriented programming. You are able to interact with systems that are used in professional software development such as Git and Mercurial. You enjoy working in small collaborative teams and have good communication and interpersonal skills. You are a fast learner, highly analytical, detail-oriented and able to work under tight timelines.
Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Provision of full test coverage with all necessary test documentation
- Regression testing, load testing, acceptance testing and smoke testing of existing products
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to determine quality assurance parameters
- Create and maintain test strategies and test suites based on product requirements and test plans
- Continuously support Python scripts
- Create and maintain RobotFramework tests
- Control and implement continuous integration systems
- Record defects found and assign priority to defects according to the GeoGuard QA guidance
- Perform QA related activities for release
- Take initiative to identify issues and escalate accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and quality assurance walkthroughs according to GeoGuard PDLC guidance
- Follow best practices and processes established by the team
Your skills & qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role
- Experience with Python and Bash scripting languages
- Knowledge of RobotFramework
- Knowledge of continuous integration/delivery processes (Jenkins)
- Experience using professional software development systems such as Git and Mercurial
- Experience with testing tools such as Jira and TestRail
- Experience with MacOS and Windows
- Advanced knowledge of theory and best practices of software testing
- Intermediate written and spoken technical English enough to discuss issues with teams remotely
