Senior Data Analyst (Marketplace) (offline)

About the Role:
At thredUP, we’re working to revolutionize the clothing industry and we're looking for an experienced Data Analyst to provide the analytical horsepower to help drive our complex marketplace. As part of our data science team, you will work cross-functionally to dive into our inventory data and help derive insights into both the supply and demand sides of our business.

Responsibilities:
Report on the balance of supply and demand, and analyze the effects of various pricing, operations, and promotional initiatives on the flow of items through the marketplace
Extract trends from our inventory data to help us build the right personalized assortments of inventory to highlight in email, push notifications, site curations, and promotional messaging
Work with the team to develop new strategies for acquiring inventory that will delight our buyers
Provide guidance on testing, helping to design tests and evaluate their results


Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above in a quantitative discipline
At least two years of professional experience in an analytical role
Ability to derive insights from complex data and make recommendations that drive meaningful business impact
Fluent in SQL and advanced proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets.
Knowledge of a programming language such as Python, R, or Spark is a plus
Knowledge of business intelligence tools Looker and Amplitude or similar
Familiar with modern data warehousing, manipulation, and visualization tools
Deep understanding of statistical analysis, and experience with standard techniques including linear regression, time series analysis, experimental design, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing.
