US Based client, operating in data analytics and data-driven insights area, working on a building of solutions for data acquisition, storage, processing and analysis for big enterprises.

Our client was formed by an experienced management team and is backed by several of the world's largest hedge funds to solve some of the most challenging problems in data analytics and data-driven insights. Working with client, our employees will get possibilities to enjoy the best of startup culture but with the stability of an established company, which is uncommon for ordinary startups. Technically, you will be one of the principals responsible for building and maintaining a new platform by leveraging a wide variety of technologies and services. You will deliver a solution capable of onboarding and processing large volumes of heterogeneous data aimed at providing analytics and insights to aid investment research and operations.

in to implementation details with a focus on code quality and maintainability. You will be one of the key team members responsible for setting standards, culture, mentorship of other team members, and shipping high quality solutions. Responsibilities:

• Build connectors to a wide array of data sources guided by advanced data integration patterns
• Build a monitoring system that handles a variety of specific business logic
• Build a data validation and error handling system based on requirements from investment processes
• Extend capabilities of open source data tools to provide added functionality for scalability, responsiveness, orchestration, and monitoring
• Enforce strict compliance and security requirements informed by our customers and best practices
• Work with data analysts to integrate configuration schemas into system processes
• Connect and create APIs to enable technical support with tools that quicken the time to resolve issues that arise at various stages of the data pipeline
• Develop systems to manage and make use of metadata generated in the data ingestion process
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
• Present progress reports to stakeholders
Mandatory Skills:

• At least 2 year of professional experience programming in Java
• Highly systematic problem solving ability and willing to drill down into low-level details
• Experience with ETL and/or data ingestion pipelines highly preferred
• Familiarity with test-driven development and the SDLC in general
• Familiarity with RESTful API concepts
• Experience with data stores and data-related open source tools
• Experience with integration platforms like Talend, Pentaho highly preferred
• Previous work with AWS ecosystem
• Experience with Linux and relational databases
• Excellent verbal/written communications
Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Previous work with Kibana, Logstash, and Elasticsearch a plus
• Experience with financial data sets a plus
• Experience maintaining client and vendor relationships a plus
• Experience in distributed systems, system scalability/reliability, network security a plus
