Java Architect (offline)

Project Description:

One of the largest retail worldwide company that located in USA needs a professional, effective and result-oriented team to design, develop and support complex enterprise solutions. This solutions include logistic applications used various supply chain methodologies.
Our team will be located in Ukraine and Poland.
Responsibilities:

- Understand the needs of the customer or business and utilize this knowledge to develop design of applications based on Java and Kafka technologies that are consistent with the specific needs and requests of the customer
- Technical leadership of the offshore team
- Creation of corresponding prototypes and core functionality
- Supervision of the development teams implementing the design
- Communication with stakeholders
- Facilitation of communication between offshore team and customer
- Representing offshore team on meetings with customer
Mandatory Skills:

10+ years of experience in software development in technical roles, and at least 2 years as a software architect
Solid Java development experience and good understanding of Cloud-native applications design principles
Proven track record in designing and running complex distributed systems in AWS which have strong requirements for availability, reliability and scalability of the system
Strong problem solving skills in system design and coding
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Kafka
Familiarity with Software engineering and DevOps practices
Experience in all phases of SDLC starting from requirements gathering to production deployment and further maintenance
Experience in designing and documenting technical solutions that meet the customer's business needs
Experience in kicking off new projects from scratch as well as taking over already running development
Experience in coaching, mentoring and providing the technical leadership to multiple development teams
Good communication skills to convince and influence others in a collaborative way
Supply chain domain experience is a plus
