Senior/Lead Java Developer (TL deputy) (offline)

Project Description:

We are working on a platform, which receives data about securities and prices from various data providers, enrich and validate it, and finally distribute the consolidated data to internal bank systems. Our team is responsible for several GUI applications, which allow to adjust information about securities and prices, export the information and manage the configuration of the backend components.

Project is developed by several teams located in a few geographical locations (USA, Kiev and China).

From technical point of view GUI applications are web applications written in Java and JavaScript and .NET desktop applications (WPF, winforms) . They communicate with Java EE backend deployed in Oracle Weblogic using web services (both SOAP and RESTful).

Responsibilities:

- Work in a distributed worldwide team
- Development of the new features along with bug fixing and supporting existing software
- Ensure good development testing coverage
- Participate in peer design and code reviews
- Participate in architecture design planning
- Proactively collaborate with teammates and communicate with remote team members

Mandatory Skills:

- Strong Java/J2EE is a must
- Excellent knowledge of OOP/OOD principles and design patterns
- Build tools: Maven, Gradle
- Servlets/JSP knowledge
- Spring framework (Boot, Core, Web, MVC, AOP, JDBC, Test)
- Version Control: Git
- SQL(OracleDB is preferable but not required)
- Web services (SOAP, REST, etc.)
- XML/JSON knowledge
- Weblogic application server

Soft skills:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Angular 2
- Groovy
- Non-relational DBMS (MongoDB)
- Autosys and scheduling
- Modern deployment tools (uDeploy)
- Containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Rancher, Cubernetes, etc.)
- UNIX/Linux shell scripting
- Sonar
- Ehcache
- RPM packages
- Banking domain experience
