Our client, Maxeda, is the big Dutch retail group that owns and operates building materials stores across the Benelux (7000 employees/400 offline stores/65000 products online)
Our Kyiv-based team is working on key Clientβs digital platforms:
eCommerce platforms www.praxis.nl & www.brico.be
Community & Content management platform www.praxis.nl/voordemakers
These platforms developed based on microservices architecture used for both back-end and front-end sides. For now, our platform built from 40+ services.
Tech stack: JavaScript (React.js + Node.js) , Java (Spring), Ruby on Rails
Infrastructure:
β AWS services: ECS, RDS, Lambda, EC2, S3, VPC, Rout53, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Elastic Transcoder, Kinesis, IAM, etc.
β Docker
β CI/CD: Bamboo, Bitbucket, LaunchDarkly
β IaaC, provisioning, configuration management: Ansible, Terraform
β Monitoring: SignalFx
β Scripts: Python and Bash
Strategical plans of the Infrastructure Team:
β Switching to multi-cloud (implementation of GCP)
β Kubernetes implementation
β Updating standalone Apache server to Apache in ECS cluster
β Migration of provisioning function from Ansible to Terraform
β Switching to data-driven approach with GCP

Required skills
β 2+ years of experience with Linux-based infrastructures: AWS or/and GCP
β Practical experience with Docker containerization, clustering, and orchestration (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
β Confidence with common IaaC, provisioning, configuration management, and application-deployment tools (Terraform, Ansible, Bamboo, etc.)
β Hands-on experience with scripting on Bash or/and Python
β Strong Intermediate English to collaborate effectively with Infrastructure Team from Amsterdam
As a plus:
β Familiarity with general monitoring principles and tools like New Relic, SignalFx, Zabbix, Nagios
β Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
β Deep knowledge and practical experience with common version control systems (Bitbucket, GitHub) and main branching models (Git and GitHub flows)
β Experience of working in an Agile (Kanban, Scrum) environment
Responsibilities
β To become a valuable teammate for both Kyiv-based Development Team and Infrastructure Team from Amsterdam
β Design, implement and develop the continuous deployment systems and configuration activities
β Maintain and support product release pipeline for planned product updates and unplanned emergency fixes
β Analyze performance and stability issues in both DEV and PROD environments
β Continuous improvement and quality control of infrastructure and operations
β Implementation of new technologies in the common process and improvement of existing tools, pipelines and approaches
β Drive the automation of product development, evaluation, deployment, and operations
