Senior Atlassian Specialist

Location: EU-based (Remote) 

Employment: Full-time, Senior 

We're looking for a Senior Atlassian Specialist to own the administration, customization, and continuous improvement of our Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and related apps). You'll work across engineering, product, and operations teams to keep workflows efficient, scalable, and aligned with how the business actually works — combining hands-on administration with light development/scripting and process consulting.

What You'll Do

• Administer and maintain Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management (Cloud and/or Data Center), including user management, permissions, and instance health.
• Design and customize workflows, schemes, screens, and automation rules to match evolving team processes.
• Extend platform capabilities with scripting (e.g., ScriptRunner/Groovy) and manage third-party app integrations from the Atlassian Marketplace.
• Lead migrations, upgrades, and instance consolidations with minimal disruption to teams.
• Partner with stakeholders across departments to translate business and process needs into Atlassian configuration.
• Establish governance, naming conventions, and best practices to keep the instance scalable as the company grows.
• Troubleshoot issues, manage integrations (CI/CD tools, SSO, Slack, etc.), and provide ongoing support and training to end users.

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and configuring the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, JSM) in a production environment.
• Proven experience with workflow design, automation rules, and permission schemes at scale.
• Scripting experience (ScriptRunner, Groovy, or similar) for custom logic and integrations.
• Experience leading migrations (Server/Data Center to Cloud, or instance consolidations).
• Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable translating business needs into technical configuration.
• Atlassian certifications (ACP-100, ACP-120, or similar) are a plus.
• Based in the EU, with the ability to work remotely and overlap with core team hours.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
