Senior Business Objects Report Engineer (offline)

N-iX is seeking a BusinessObjects Report Engineer for our Information Management practice. The role is involved in designing, implementing and managing the data and analysis platforms and infrastructure, and works closely with Architects, Data Engineers, and others to determine what data
management systems are appropriate for specific solutions. The role builds and maintains data management systems to support integrations, reporting, and analytical systems. In this role, you will be focused on delivery and support for our current data platforms.

Responsibilities:
- Developing, deploying, debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting BI analytical solutions.
- Monitor system performance and availability to identify and resolve performance issues tuning the Business Objects system for optimum performance
- Create advanced and complex reports
- Work with Business users to test and troubleshoot report issues, system slowness
- Ability to create and maintain universes and publish reports using the Business Objects toolset
- Modifying existing reports and dashboards based on business requirements
- Demonstrated ability to learn from others as well as independently

Desired Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in BO Administration and report delivery
- Experience with Business Objects
- SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (WebI)
- SAP BusinessObjects Information Design Tool 
- SAP BusinessObjects Universe Design Tool (UDT)
- Experience with query writing, creating complex stored procedures, and design views
- Ability to understand pre-existing SQL codes generated by others
- Advanced knowledge writing SQL queries
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Experience working in an agile development environment
