Senior .NET Engineer / Technical Lead
π Details: weβre looking for a Senior .NET Engineer / Technical Lead to lead the technical assessment, stabilization, and ongoing development of a large-scale financial platform running in production on Microsoft Azure.
You'll work with a business-critical platform consisting of 30+ event-driven microservices, complex accounting and payment workflows, multiple databases, Kubernetes infrastructure, external integrations, and over 100 CI/CD pipelines.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on solving complex engineering challenges, improving system reliability, reducing technical debt, and guiding the team in delivering high-quality software.
π Qualifications:
- 8+ years of commercial software development experience, including 5+ years with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core.
- Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, or similar technical leadership role.
- Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed microservice systems in production.
- Strong experience in at least one transactional business domain, such as accounting, fintech, payments, banking, ERP, billing, invoicing, or e-commerce with payment and reconciliation workflows.
- Solid understanding of financial transactions, idempotency, reconciliation, audit trails, and distributed data consistency.
- Production experience with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, SQL Server, and messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with REST, gRPC, webhooks, service-to-service integrations, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and GitOps practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including complex cross-service and data-consistency issues.
- Strong communication skills and experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
- English language proficiency at B2 level (upper-intermediate) and above.
π Would be a plus:
- Experience with .NET 8, Angular, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Azure Monitor, or Application Insights.
- Familiarity with CQRS, DDD, Clean Architecture, and Saga patterns.
- Experience taking over production platforms with limited knowledge transfer, improving release processes, and simplifying fragmented microservice architectures.
π Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical assessment, stabilization, and ongoing improvement of the existing production platform.
- Analyze the existing architecture, service dependencies, data flows, databases, message queues, and external integrations to identify technical risks and improvement opportunities.
- Review the current architecture, identify areas for simplification, reduce technical debt, and contribute to the platform's long-term evolution.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues, including cross-service communication and data consistency challenges.
- Improve system reliability, maintainability, observability, and deployment processes, including CI/CD, database migrations, and rollback strategies.
- Establish and promote engineering best practices for development, code reviews, testing, and release management.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and actively contribute to the implementation of complex technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the Delivery Manager, DevOps/SRE, QA, and the client's technical lead to deliver a reliable and scalable production platform.
