Data Infrastructure Engineer
About the company: A product international fintech company that has been working with global banks and funds since 2011. It provides a low-latency gateway allowing instant transactions on global currency exchanges. The company works with microwave transmitters and other hardware solutions to reduce signal processing time. It offers its clients hosting services for automated trading equipment.
Work format: Remote.
Required experience:
- Experience deploying infrastructure from scratch and maintaining it for data projects
- Experience administering and supporting time-series databases at a production level
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following databases: ClickHouse, InfluxDB, ScyllaDB/Cassandra, or KDB+ (experience with other time-series/NoSQL solutions will also be considered)
Nice to have:
Experience making architectural decisions for building data infrastructure (technology selection, storage schema design, scaling)
Responsibilities:
- Selecting, installing, configuring, and scaling databases
- Designing data schemas and storage strategies for large volumes of data
- Building and tuning complex queries to calculate business metrics (Effective Spread, Last Look Hold Times)
Training GUI developers and the team on working with data, acting as a subject matter expert
