QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Engineer with a strong focus on backend/API testing, who will also support testing of iOS mobile applications and web applications/landing pages. The role includes close collaboration with developers, participation in grooming and release processes, and ensuring quality across backend services, APIs, payments, analytics, and client applications.

What you’ll do

- Functional testing of backend services, APIs, iOS apps, and web applications/landing pages 

- API testing and validation of integrations, analytics events, and payment systems 

- Design, execution, and maintenance of test cases, checklists, bug reports, and test documentation 

- Impact analysis of changes (affected modules and scenarios) 

- SQL-based validation of data in relational databases 

- Testing payment systems and subscriptions 

- Investigation of issues using logs and error analysis 

- Participation in grooming, planning, and release activities with developers 

- Running API automated tests in CI pipelines 

- iOS testing on real devices and simulators, web testing using DevTools

What we’re looking for

Experience & working style 

- 2+ years of commercial QA experience 

- Ability to work in multitasking mode 

- Flexibility in changing processes and test scenarios 

- Active participation in team collaboration and grooming sessions 

QA & testing skills 

- Functional, UI/UX, localization, and analytics event testing 

- Strong understanding of test design techniques 

- Experience writing and maintaining test documentation 

API & backend testing 

- REST/HTTP fundamentals 

- API testing with Postman/Newman or cURL, experience with OpenAPI/Swagger 

- Authentication: Basic, Bearer token, OAuth2 

- Strong understanding of client-server architecture 

Databases (SQL / PostgreSQL) 

- SQL queries: JOINs, aggregations, filtering and grouping 

- Ability to validate backend data directly in DB 

- Understanding of transactions 

Payments & subscriptions 

- Testing payment systems and subscription flows 

- Apple/Google In-App Purchases 

- Webhooks validation 

- Edge cases: failed payments, insufficient funds, card blocking, refunds, chargebacks 

Mobile & web 

- iOS app testing (real devices and simulators), iOS Guidelines, TestFlight, Xcode, Firebase (Crashlytics, build delivery), IPA handling 

- Web application and landing page testing using DevTools 

Backend & tools 

- Understanding of backend services in release processes, proxy tools, and test environment setup for iOS 

- Tools: Postman, Git, Jira, Linux 

- Log analysis: grep, awk, sed, tail -f, error tracing, stack traces 

Automation 

- API/integration test automation 

- Running tests in CI (Jenkins / GitHub Actions)

Extra points if you have

Kafka, ClickHouse, observability tools, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD experience
