Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

✓ Lead an engineering team consisting of specialists in software development, information technology and quality assurance

✓ Own the delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards and business objectives

✓ Coordinate engineering priorities between management, the product team, R&D and operational departments

✓ Support the hiring process, including sourcing, interviewing and onboarding new team members

✓ Develop technical excellence through best practices in architecture, coding standards, documentation and development processes

✓ Improve internal engineering processes, including planning, reporting, testing and releases

✓ Conduct regular performance reviews and provide clear, practical feedback to team members

✓ Build a culture of responsibility, collaboration, engagement and continuous improvement

Requirements

✓ Proven experience in management or leadership within software development teams

✓ Strong technical background in software development

✓ Ability to understand complex technical topics and translate them into clear priorities

✓ Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders

✓ Experience with agile development methodologies

✓ Ability to organize work, manage priorities and ensure project delivery

✓ Practical experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, especially Jira and Confluence

✓ Basic level of communication in Ukrainian or English

Would Be an Advantage

✓ Experience with embedded systems and the Linux operating system

✓ Familiarity with UAVs, drones or robotics

✓ Experience working in a hardware/software product environment

✓ Understanding of QA, testing and release management processes
