WordPress Engineer

We are looking for a WordPress Engineer to join our growing team.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of WordPress themes, customization, and child themes; ability to work with custom themes;
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) for UI/UX development;
• Experience with PHP and core WordPress concepts (hooks, filters, actions);
• Experience working with WordPress REST API and/or WPGraphQL;
• Ability to optimize for SEO, mobile responsiveness, and performance;
• Experience with WooCommerce for e-commerce projects;
• Basic understanding of CMS best practices (content structure, reusable components, roles/permissions);

• Experience with multilingual setups is a plus.

   

Nice to have (China focus)

• Experience launching WordPress projects for mainland China (ICP, hosting, CDN considerations);
• Awareness of restricted third-party services and plugin limitations;
• Experience with local integrations (e.g., WeChat, Alipay);

• Understanding of performance optimization for China-based users.

   

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress websites;
• Integrate and manage payment processing;
• Implement multilingual and multicurrency solutions;
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues;
• Support and maintain CMS content structure and workflows.
