Lead IT Security Engineer

We’re hiring a Lead IT Security Engineer for Limitless Labs — a crypto + AI company building one of the largest prediction markets on Base.

The platform has already processed $3B+ in trading volume, with strong user engagement and retention. Security is a critical part of scaling the system further.

What you’ll do

• Own and lead security operations across the company
• Build and improve threat detection, monitoring, and incident response systems
• Design SIEM, logging, and alerting pipelines
• Lead incident response and post-mortems
• Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling
• Manage vulnerabilities and remediation processes
• Ensure readiness against real-world attacks (DDoS, exploits, key compromise)
• Work with external security vendors and auditors

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years in Security Operations
• Experience owning security in production environments
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (GCP, Cloudflare)
• Solid understanding of infrastructure, network, and application security
• Hands-on experience with SIEM / EDR / SOAR systems
• Experience handling high-severity incidents
• Ability to operate under pressure and make critical decisions

Nice to have

• Web3 / blockchain security experience
• Experience securing financial or trading systems
• SOC2 / ISO 27001 experience
• Background in penetration testing or red teaming
