AI Agent Engineer (HubSpot Integrations / AI Automation)

About the role

We are looking for an AI Agent Engineer to join us on a long-term basis and help build, configure, and support AI-driven automation systems.

You will work with an enterprise AI orchestration platform (Airia, onboarding provided), configuring AI agents, integrating them with HubSpot and other tools, and extending the platform with custom scripts when needed.

This is not a classic full-stack development role. Most of your work will focus on:

• building and configuring AI agents
• connecting different systems together
• creating integrations and automations
• writing small custom scripts for edge cases

You’ll work closely with our team and receive architecture guidance and code reviews when needed.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents for lead qualification, research, lead scoring, and reporting
• Integrate the orchestration platform with HubSpot via MCP
• Configure HubSpot pipelines, lifecycle stages, workflows, and automations
• Integrate outbound tools such as Apollo, A-Leads, Instantly, Smartlead, Outreach, Mailchimp, or Intercom
• Set up field mapping, contact sync, workflow triggers, and bidirectional data sync
• Build integrations with external systems (CRM, ERP, communication tools)
• Write custom scripts and data transformations in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Handle APIs, webhooks, OAuth, rate limits, retries, and error handling

• Prepare SOPs, documentation, and support go-live/testing
   

  Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building AI agents, LLM workflows, or automation pipelines
• Experience with one or more platforms: LangChain, LangGraph, n8n, CrewAI, AutoGen, Make, Zapier AI, Relevance AI, Vellum, or similar
• Experience with MCP, tool calling, or similar integrations between AI agents and external systems
• Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM (pipelines, workflows, API integrations, webhooks, field mapping)
• Experience integrating CRM systems with outbound or lead generation tools
• Good understanding of REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, rate limits, and error handling
• Ability to write custom integration logic in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript

• Strong written English and ability to work independently

   

  Nice to have

• Experience with Airia or multi-agent systems
• Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 42001, EU AI Act, or NIST AI RMF

• Background in an AI agency, MSP, or integration company
