Requirements:

— 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2+ years in Web3/DeFi projects
— Strong understanding of current Web3 landscape, market direction, and L1/L2 ecosystem dynamics
— Strong understanding of core DeFi primitives
— Hands-on experience launching at least one DeFi protocol end-to-end (DEX, Lending, Yield, RWA, or similar primitive) with measurable outcomes
— Proven cases of tokenomics or incentive design with metrics (liquidity mining, fee distribution, token sinks, staking models)
— Hands-on experience with on-chain analytics tools
— Roadmap and backlog management – Jira/Linear, OKRs, structured prioritization frameworks
— Growth methodology – funnel analysis, retention, activation, north-star metrics, experimentation
— Cross-functional leadership – proven ability to drive engineering, design, BD, and marketing in coordinated delivery without direct authority
— Ability to write clear, epics, user stories, and technical specs; comfortable using AI-assisted tooling to accelerate documentation and research
— Self-driven owner mindset – treats the protocol as their own, drives outcomes without supervision

Nice to have:
— Experience with agentic AI tools for rapid PoC prototyping, research automation, and integrating AI products into Web3
— Experience with EVM-like ecosystems specifically, ERC standards development
— Experience structuring developer-facing products (SDKs, APIs, developer portals)
— Background in B2B product work (integration specs, pilot design, partner onboarding)
— SQL or Python for data analysis
— Experience scaling a product team or function (hiring, onboarding, defining processes)
— Experience with prediction markets or perpetual DEXes specifically
— Public track record – post-mortems, case studies, talks, or open-source product work
— Experience working with audit firms and security researchers on protocol launches

Responsibilities:

— Own product strategy and 12-month roadmap for the priority DeFi protocol; translate ecosystem-level goals into protocol-level OKRs, validated hypotheses, structured epics, and prioritized backlog
— Conduct competitive and market research: analyze comparable ecosystems, DeFi protocols, and potential integration partners – deliver actionable findings, not slide decks
— Run planning cycles: facilitate sprint planning, quarterly OKR planning, ensure engineering always has a clear and ranked queue of work
— Validate ideas before they reach engineering: assess feasibility, revenue impact, estimate effort, flag risks
— Build and maintain product specs: write clear PRDs, requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics for every feature entering development; leverage AI-assisted tooling where it accelerates the work
— Design and validate tokenomics and incentive mechanisms: liquidity mining, fee distribution, token sinks, staking models; model unit economics with finance/research counterparts
— Drive growth: define and own the acquisition → activation → retention → revenue funnel; run growth experiments (incentive campaigns, integrations, partner launches) and measure with on-chain attribution
— Track and report results: define north-star metric and KPIs per launch, build and own on-chain dashboards (Dune, DeFiLlama, Token Terminal), measure outcomes, run retrospectives, feed learnings back into the roadmap
— Lead cross-functional delivery: set shared OKRs with engineering, design, BD, and marketing leads; drive coordinated delivery without direct authority; run weekly sync, monthly review, and quarterly planning rituals
— Coordinate launch readiness: drive security audits, integrations, liquidity bootstrapping, and go-to-market in tight pair with Ecosystem Lead.
— Support B2B integrations: prepare integration briefs, technical requirements, and pilot success metrics for partners
— Prototype rapidly: use AI-assisted tools to build quick PoCs, mockups, and data models for idea validation
— Stay deep in the ecosystem: monitor on-chain data, competitor moves, community sentiment, and emerging standards relevant to Whitechain
— Build product foundations for the direction: define discovery process, PRD or similar standards, launch checklist, post-mortem cadence – setting the ground for portfolio expansion and future PM hires
