Senior Android Developer (offline)

8allocate is a service IT outsourcing company. We are located in the center of Kyiv, but our team is 50% remote and distributed.
We specialize in flexible interaction exclusively with international clients (we cover industries from commercial aviation to fintech).

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Android Developer (Kotlin) for the development of our new client products.

About the project:
Our client develops a Software-as-a-Service platform that empowers retailers to create highly effective and fully-customized native apps in record time. The client’s platform offers rich functionality out of the box, enabling customers (retailers) to launch a transactional app with all of the features that have come to expect.

Technologies stack on the project:
Android SDK, Kotlin, RESTfull API.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Development of the new platforms according to business requirements

You will fit if you have:
- 5+ years of professional software development: experience building complex Android applications using Java or/and Kotlin
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes;
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services;
- Good understanding of REST, JSON, other web services
- Submitting and releasing applications in the Play Market

Bonus points for:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms

Work Schedule and location
Flexible: it is not necessary to sit out from 09:00 to 18:00. You can work from home 1 day a week. If you want, you can come earlier and, accordingly, leave earlier (+/- 2 hours). The workplace in the office is in two steps (actually less than 1 minute!) from the metro station Pecherskaya. Every day you can have lunch here in a new place — the full abundance of options.
