Anti-Fraud Engineer (Web / Browser Fingerprinting)

We are building an internal anti-fraud system to detect and prevent fake leads and bot-driven traffic in web forms.

Attackers use anti-detect browsers, residential proxies, VPNs, and partially real user data to bypass cloaking and validation systems.

We are looking for an engineer who can design and implement detection systems based on:

• browser fingerprinting
• behavioral signals
• network-level anomalies

This is not a typical backend role - it involves deep understanding of how browsers, networks, and bot systems actually work under the hood.

 

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fraud detection systems for web traffic and lead generation
• Build and evolve fingerprinting pipelines (browser, device, network)
• Analyze and detect patterns of bot traffic and fake form submissions
• Work with signals such as
  • Canvas/WebGL/Audio fingerprints
  • TLS / IP / proxy characteristics
  • Browser inconsistencies and automation traces
• Develop scoring and evaluation systems (Go/Python)
• Reverse-engineer bot behavior and anti-detect browser techniques
• Continuously improve detection rules and heuristics based on real attack data
   

Experience and skills

• Strong JavaScript knowledge (not frameworks):
  • prototypes, property descriptors, event loop, timing APIs
• Understanding of browser internals:
  • DOM, rendering pipeline, WebGL, Canvas
• Backend experience (Go or Python preferred)
• Understanding of fingerprinting techniques:
  • browser / device / network fingerprinting
• Experience detecting bots, fraud, or abnormal traffic patterns
   

Nice to have:

• Experience with anti-detect browsers or automation tools
• Experience in ad tech / affiliate / traffic quality
• Familiarity with residential proxies and bot infrastructure
• Contributions to fingerprinting or security-related projects
• Experience with:
  • FingerprintJS
  • browserleaks-like tools
  • bot mitigation systems
