Scrum Master (offline)

Casting Networks is seeking a Scrum Master to direct and manage one or more Scrum development teams. Through servant leadership you will support your teams in delivering strategic, business facing, cross-functional and technical initiatives. You are expected to facilitate the Agile process, build high performing teams and promote continuous improvement. You will strive to keep your team productive and ensure that your team is accountable for the successful execution of their projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage one or more scrum development teams fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement within the teams
Facilitate effective team meetings: daily standup, sprint review, sprint planning, retrospectives and backlog refinements
Ensure the team’s ability to effectively execute projects by identifying and removing any roadblocks that impede the team’s progress as well as resolving issues and conflicts within the project team
Support the Product Owner to make sure the product backlog is groomed and ready for sprint
Utilize Agile Scrum practices to increase and/or maintain their velocity
Create and maintain team/program metrics that demonstrate measurable progress toward KPIs and delivery of planned work
Track and leverage sprint and release metrics to provide guidance on opportunities for improvement to current processes and tools
Identify needs that others may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs
Coach delivery teams in best practices of Agile software development
Facilitate release planning
Generate status reports

Requirements:

4+ years prior experience in leading cross-functional projects and coordination following Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience with conflict resolution, scope management, issue & risk tracking
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and a proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects in an Agile environment
Working knowledge and experience in Agile estimation and user story construction (Experience in training and coaching of Agile methodologies)
Familiarity with Agile project management software, such as Jira and Confluence (Jira admin experience a plus)
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Bachelor's Degree
