Senior Data Scientist with Strong Engineering Skills (offline)

We are looking for an experienced data scientist with strong engineering skills to join our research and development team in Kyiv on a full-time basis.
It is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to an innovative project with numerous analytical challenges to tackle, including but not limited to optimization of operations, simulation models, predictive analytics, domain modeling, and pattern recognition.

Requirements:
— PhD or MS in one of the following disciplines: Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering with significant experience in data analytics, data science
— At least 5 years of production experience with Python, R, or C++
— Fluency in English is a must
— Expertise in signal processing, as well as building simulation experiments for the IoT, biochemical, industrial, energy, and manufacturing domains
— Practical experience with graph databases (Neo4J, Amazon Neptune, etc.)
— Solid knowledge of graph theory and graph-based algorithms
— Good command of numerical methods for linear algebra and optimization
— Experience working in a high-performance distributed environment (Apache Spark, misc. cloud environments for data analytics)
— Familiarity with the Semantic Web and ontology development concepts and techniques

Responsibilities:
— Examine particular industry domain and utilize pattern recognition, statistical analysis, simulation, and machine learning techniques to solve target engineering and business problems
— Work in collaborative team in an Agile environment focused on the full life-cycle of analytical solutions and software
— Demonstrate a discipline to create efficient, maintainable, robust, well-tested, documented code
— Contribute to all stages of a data analytics project, including problem formulation, solution development, documentation, and deployment
