Data Analyst
Team Summary
We are an established team, bringing together a Head of Analytics, Data Architect, Product Manager, and Data Analysts. Our main goal is to provide valuable, actionable insights across different areas of Product Development, including performance markers, financial metrics, pre-production evaluations, and launch feedback. To supercharge our workflow, our operations are strongly supported by the in-house AI tooling that we develop and maintain ourselves.
Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team. Through our partnership, we support a vibrant community of over 1,000 AI builders generating rich quantitative data across Cursor and similar systems and would love to have a dedicated analyst to bridge the gap between this telemetry and tangible business outcomes.
In this role, you will play a critical part in validating qualitative research findings at scale against our "Gold layer" data platform, defining meaningful AI adoption metrics beyond vanity indicators, and quantifying exactly which AI practices improve delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), identify trends, and investigate deep patterns in telemetry and product data
- Validate qualitative research findings at scale against the "Gold layer" data platform
- Define, track, and report on key performance metrics and AI adoption indicators
- Create interactive dashboards with rich infographics and analytics to monitor product performance
- Document data analysis results clearly and write comprehensive reports for stakeholders
- Automate routine analytical tasks and ad-hoc queries using our custom AI tooling
- Test analytical code, database queries, and dashboards to ensure absolute data accuracy
- Optimize query performance, database structures, and dashboard rendering speeds
- Participate actively in project meetings to discuss task progress and collaborate on roadmaps
- Strictly adhere to established data governance policies and security standards
Qualifications and Skills
- 4+ years of experience as a BI/Data Analyst
- Strong foundation in statistics and the application of basic statistical methods for data analysis
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and understanding of Medallion architecture
- Proven experience in developing interactive dashboards with product analytics
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle practices and testing methodologies
- Excellent report writing and data storytelling skills (ability to present complex data outcomes to stakeholders)
- Demonstrated experience using automation tools and AI/large language model integrations to optimize workflows
- Good written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with QuickSight or Tableau
- Strong technical documentation writing skills.
- Experience in developing custom automation tools.
