Project overview: The existing application is available via AppStore, and Google Play. The application is named ‘Embark: Nautical Charts’.
Our apps get smarter every time, so you can catch more fish, navigate more efficiently and safer and be relax onboard so your experience on the water becomes more awesome.
We are building those on React Native to work seamless across platforms, mobile and web.
Your responsibilities include:
Architect and building new services and maintaining existing ones
Deploy and operate cloud infrastructure: AWS, Java8, NodeJS, MongoDB, Docker
Ability to research, propose and set the technology direction
Complete and automate CI and CD processes in a cloud environment (AWS)
Work in close collaboration with our frontend team helping them to deliver a great UI for our platform.

Build automation (Jenkins or similar)
Requirements:
Strong backend skills (NodeJS/Java), Golang experience beneficial but not required.
Backend apis REST and realtime (websockets)
Relational databases (postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB/redis).
Everything we have runs on AWS
Knowledge of CI/CD and ability to develop services with these in mind.
Last but probably most important ability to take a project thought its full lifecycle (design/development/deployment and ongoing support & maintenance).
We are looking for someone who has knowledge and experience in creating robust and scalable web APIs including architecture, design, testing, deployment and maintenance, has a DevOps mindset and can exude high energy in a creative and dynamic working environment.
