Lead Enterprise Architect (DevOps background) (offline)
Requirements:
• More than 7 years of IT Experience;
• Experience within an Architecture Role;
• Leadership experience;
• Recent experience within Architecture, Design and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable solutions;
• Experience with defining, building and maintaining a specific Domain of Architecture, e.g. Network, Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Storage, Automation etc.;
• Experience working with Cloud Computing;
• Working experience of Information Security and the control points needed within a specific domain’s architecture.
• Working experience in an enterprise wide Architectural governance, architecture decisions, exceptions, standards etc.;
• Developing complex business cases.
Nice to have:
• Architecture Certification: TOGAF, ARCHIMATE, ZACHMAN, etc.;
• Preferred Domain Expertise Certificates depending on role: CCIE, Azure Certified Architect, AWS Certified Architect, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Strategy and Architecture:
- Use appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas. Produce detailed component specifications. Assist in the preparation of technical plans. Provides advice on technical aspects of system development and integration;
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of specific specialisms and provides expert advice regarding their application. Can supervise specialist consultancy;
- Take responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance and effective use of IT infrastructure components and monitors their performance. Schedules and supervises all maintenance and installation work. Provides appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users and managers;
- Contribute to the creation and review of a systems capability strategy which meets the strategic requirements of the business;
- Provide expertise and support on the use of methods and tools.
• Development and implementation:
- Recommend/design structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and take into account the target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems. Produces detailed design documentation.
- Specify and design complex hardware components/ systems. Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise policies, and ensure they are applied effectively.
- Develop and implement quality plans and method statements. Monitor the effectiveness of installations and ensure that appropriate recommendations for change are made.
• Delivery and Operation:
- Monitor service component capacity and initiate actions to resolve any shortfalls according to agreed procedures.
- Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures. Contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, including building and management of systems and components in virtualized computing environments.
• Relationships and engagement:
Implement stakeholder engagement/ communications plans, including handling of complaints, problems and issues; managing resolutions; corrective actions and lessons learned; collection and dissemination of relevant information.

“The Customer just delivered the Email Relay Service inside his company. At the end of the day the Customer delivers internal service that his clients can zoom to get whatever they need. First example: The Customer did Bulk Mail Service and he delivered service that had programmatic ways of provisioning bulk mail for clients. A Client wants to send 100s emails per day from no-reply ____.com. There is a service that they can zoom, which is simple for them. There is architectural side of it. There is billing side of it.
Somewhere along the line the Customer is going to have something called continuous service improvement. Services are going to be set up, new features are going to be added, Clients’ feedback as well as Service Catalog shall be added. The Catalog is mostly self-serviceable and automated.
The first Service was built in 2 weeks (pipeline, code, testing). Now the goal is to take 10 Services, and 10 Services to build up. Some services are more complicated than others”.
