Scala Developer (Moneyball, Australia team) (offline)

Responsibilities
- Work with small but professional engineers team and building high-load product (8-10k transaction per 1 sec in high hours)
- Taking part in formatting product architecture and development planning
- Developing back-end part of product using modern technologies like Akka, Akka HTTP, Slick, Play
- You'll also have the opportunity and freedom to build greenfield solutions in whatever technology best suits the problem

What do you need in your background to be successful in this role:
- Minimum 2 years experience with functional Scala in a production environment
- Test-driven development
- Experience building scalable, distributed solutions in Scala
- An open mind with respect to the best technology for a given problem
- Experience developing backend REST/JSON APIs
- SQL and query optimization
- DevOps in Linux environments and knowledge of AWS services

Would be a great plus:
- Akka, Akka HTTP, Slick, Play Framework, Docker, Rabbit MQ or Apache Kafka or Amazon Kinesis
- Serverless design and development
- Scaling event-driven, messaging-based architecture
- AWS Security, Kube AWS, Kubernetes Dashboard (Extra Bonus)
- NoSQL database
