Job Description

Mandatory Requirements

• 7+ years of development experience with Java enterprise applications
• Strong Core Java and hands-on experience with Java 8–17
• Good understanding of OOP/OOD principles
• Good understanding of Spring concepts and hands-on experience (Core Container, JDBC, Web Services, MVC, Security, Boot)
• Knowledge of Jakarta EE 10 specifications and components
• Good knowledge of SQL and hands-on experience with an RDBMS (Oracle 19c preferred)
• Version control: Git
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Build tools: Maven and Gradle
• Good knowledge of Linux and Bash
• Enterprise application servers (i.e. WebLogic 12, Red Hat JBoss EAP 8 etc.)
• Good written and spoken English (Intermediate or higher)
• Telecom/OSS/BSS background with inventory management solution experience
• Good understanding of Fiber/GPON/FTTH/ONT/OLT

Nice to Have

• Message brokers: JMS / JBoss Artemis / ActiveMQ
• Front-end experience: SmartGWT 11+, GWT framework
• XML/XSD/XSLT/XPath for configuration
• Database migration and schema upgrade experience

Job Responsibilities

• Work as part of a large, geographically distributed team
• Customize and integrate large-scale enterprise solutions for the telecommunications domain
• Design and implement features, including writing SQL queries
• Upgrade/modernize existing code to newer Java versions
• Support a remote QA team by providing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Maintain and improve deployed code and configuration
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues in delivered solutions
• Communicate daily with the customer team (requirements clarification, status updates, issue handling, etc.)
   

Department/Project Description

Our client is a global leader in telecommunications infrastructure and services, providing solutions to mobile and fixed network operators worldwide. The company's technology powers networks in over 180 countries, handling a significant portion of global mobile traffic.

GlobalLogic is engaged in System Integration activities for various OSS/BSS solutions including Network Inventory Management Systems, Resource Management, and Network Planning tools for a major telecommunications service provider in the international market.

The project scope involves:

• Upgrading and modernizing existing inventory management solutions
• Developing integration modules that connect network inventory systems with third-party systems (CRM, NMS, Activation, Trouble Ticketing,
• Workforce Management, Order Management)
• Migrating legacy application server infrastructure to modern, cloud-ready platforms
• Implementing microservices architecture patterns where applicable
• Project activities are primarily conducted within GMT+2 and GMT+3 time zones, following the Ukrainian work week schedule.
