WordPress Developer (Project-Based)

Appricotsoft is looking for an experienced WordPress / Shopify Developer to join our team on a project-by-project basis. We work with companies and startups across the EU and the US, and from time to time we need reliable specialists who can deliver high-quality websites, optimizations, and custom functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Build and modify custom WordPress themes, including custom logic and advanced configurations.
• Create pixel-perfect layouts based on Figma designs using modern HTML/CSS/JS practices.
• Build and configure e-commerce websites using WooCommerce or Shopify.
• Optimize website performance, loading speed, and basic SEO structure.
• Integrate and configure plugins, replace or remove unnecessary ones.
• Work closely with the designer and PM, maintaining clear and responsible communication.
   

Requirements

• Strong experience with custom WordPress themes (not only ready-made templates).
• Mandatory: Elementor – deep understanding of workflows, custom widgets, styling, and theme builder.
• Excellent front-end skills: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript.
• Ability to work independently with Figma and deliver accurate, high-quality layouts.
• Understanding of performance optimization, caching, image compression, and clean architecture.
• Experience with Shopify: theme customization, sections, settings, basic integrations.
• Strong communication skills, responsibility, and ownership of tasks.
• Nice to have: PHP skills, ACF, Gutenberg, WooCommerce customizations, headless WordPress experience.
