General QA Engineer (for secure mobile banking application)

We are looking for a General QA Engineer who will be able to conduct comprehensive testing activities for a secure banking application. This role requires a strong understanding of mobile platforms, backend/API validation, third-party integrations, and advanced testing scenarios beyond standard functional QA. Project is a modern fintech platform providing secure mobile and web banking services with a strong focus on data protection, user experience, and compliance with high-security standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full testing cycle of mobile banking applications.
• Participate in automation initiatives for web components; create and maintain automated tests using Playwright.
• Test and validate API integrations (REST/GraphQL), including request/response validation and error handling.
• Conduct security-related checks, including encryption validation and secure data storage verification.
• Test authentication and SSO flows with third-party providers (e.g., Okta, Google, Microsoft).
• Design and execute exploratory and regression test cases for critical banking features.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and security teams to identify risks and edge cases.
• Document defects clearly in test management systems.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of general QA experience, banking applications experience is a must.
• Practical experience with web automation testing (Playwright preferred).
• Strong understanding of API testing (Postman, curl, or similar tools).
• Familiarity with mobile and web testing ecosystems.
• Understanding of security concepts: encryption at rest/in transit, key management basics.
• Knowledge of authentication flows (OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect) and third-party identity providers (Okta, etc.).
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, defect lifecycles, and regression cycles.
• Intermediate+ English for reading technical documentation and communication with a team.
