DevOps engineer (offline)

Job Duties:
• Continuously improve the precision and efficiency of automated build, test, packaging, and deployment workflows
• Coordinate with developers on projects to ensure complimentary functional infrastructure and development
• Oversee code deployments in all non-production environments
• Monitor metrics and identify/develop opportunities for improvement
• Create technical design and implementation documentation
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
• Work collaboratively with appropriate teams to facilitate testing automation
• Ensure the security of architecture, design, development, coding and configuration of both existing systems; as well as new initiatives and enforce security policies
• Participate in design sessions with other engineers, architects, and systems engineers
• Stay current on latest industry trends

Requirements
• 2-5+ years’ experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
• RDBMS experience - MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Strong security, networking, and compliance experience
• Experience with AWS and Google Cloud
• Working with Elasticsearch, Nats Streaming, Spark, Tensorflow
• Automation and deployment - Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCI, GitHub, etc
• Logging, monitoring, alerting and performance debugging - Prometheus, Jaeger, Grafana, PagerDuty, Loggly, etc
• Strong background in systems administration: Linux, Mac
• Strong experience supporting customer-facing applications on a Linux platform
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, SSH, HTTP(S), LDAP, DNS, VPN
• Version control software expertise: Bitbucket/GitHub
• Proven experience performing root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting
• Ability to identify problems, and effectively communicate solutions to peers and management
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
