About the project:
A new venture in the mobile gaming space is reinventing chess, making it fun and accessible for everyone. Founded in 2024, the team focuses on mobile-first experiences that blend tradition with innovation. Through simplified mechanics, interactive tutorials, and creative game modes, the project aims to turn chess into a mainstream digital pastime enjoyed worldwide.
Requirements:
- 2+ years professional experience with Unity.
- Proficient with Unity UI system.
- Ownership of 2D/3D art pipelines and asset import settings.
- Skilled at profiling, customizing, and optimizing art assets and scenes.
- C# expertise; experience writing Editor extensions and tooling โ Advantage.
- Proficient with CG/HLSL/ShaderLab; hands-on shader authoring โ Advantage.
- Chess knowledge โ Advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and optimize Unity art pipelines for 2D/3D assets.
- Develop and refine Unity UI systems for mobile gameplay.
- Profile and optimize assets/scenes to ensure performance.
- Author shaders with CG/HLSL/ShaderLab to enhance visuals.
- Build custom tools and editor extensions in C# to support workflows.
- Collaborate with artists and designers to deliver polished game experiences.
