Azure Cloud Networking and Security Engineer
TechioSoft Systems is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Networking & Security Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable hybrid network environments in Microsoft Azure.
This is a part-time remote position ideal for a cloud professional with deep networking and security expertise who is passionate about automation, compliance, and cloud infrastructure reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement hybrid network topologies (hub-and-spoke, VNet peering) with precise IP address and subnet planning.
- Configure and maintain ExpressRoute and site-to-site VPN connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.
- Manage firewall policies, NSGs, ASGs, and load balancer configurations (F5, Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway).
- Automate firewall and WAF rule deployments across on-premises and Azure for each application, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Implement and optimize Azure Firewall, Palo Alto NGFW, and Azure Application Gateway WAF for multi-tier security architectures.
- Use Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell to automate network validation, rule synchronization, and configuration drift detection.
- Ensure network resiliency and disaster recovery (DR) readiness across multiple Azure regions and hybrid environments.
- Perform network benchmarking, monitoring, and diagnostics using Azure Network Watcher and Traffic Analytics.
- Collaborate with security and DevOps teams to enforce Zero Trust principles, automate policy governance, and align with compliance frameworks.
Manage DNS, DHCP, and name resolution strategies for hybrid workloads (Azure Private DNS, split-horizon design).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in Azure Cloud Networking & Security Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of hub-and-spoke architectures, VNet peering, and IP planning.
- Hands-on experience with ExpressRoute, VPNs, Azure Firewall, Palo Alto NGFW, and load balancers.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Deep understanding of Zero Trust security, NSG/ASG management, and policy automation.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as Azure Network Watcher and Traffic Analytics.
- Familiarity with Private DNS and hybrid name resolution strategies.
Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Azure certifications (AZ-700, AZ-104, or AZ-305).
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid connectivity with AWS or GCP.
Background in security compliance and network governance frameworks.
