Test Engineer in Geology Domain

Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support in the drilling and completions area to the DWP team.
- Perform objective assessments of product quality and contribute as an active Software Tester.
- Develop detailed test cases and scenarios based on test objectives and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in sprint planning and story estimation, ensuring testing aspects are covered.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to define and validate key end-user workflows.
- Maintain and configure test environments.
- Execute functional, regression, and integration testing according to requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure changes do not affect associated functionalities.
Mandatory Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geophysics, Geology, or Chemical Engineering (GPA 7.5+).
- Strong understanding of upstream Oil & Gas applications (Landmark EDT preferred).
- Knowledge of drilling and well engineering concepts, including:
- Well construction, drilling techniques, fluids property management
- Well control, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring
- Completion design and well performance analysis
- Experience with engineering tools such as WellCat, WellPlan, Compass is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- QA experience (manual or automation) — ideally in Oil & Gas upstream applications.
- Familiarity with SDLC/STLC and various testing types (Smoke, Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT, Performance).
- Experience with test management tools (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA).
- API and web application testing experience.
- Basic understanding of automation frameworks and tools.
- Cloud knowledge (Azure / AWS) and performance testing experience.
- ISTQB Foundation certification (optional).
