Junior Automation QA Engineer (offline)

Client: is an international Dutch company delivering an omnichannel banking services


Backbase Omni-Channel Banking Platform, a state-of-the-art digital banking software solution that unifies data and functionality from traditional core systems and new fintech players into a seamless, digital customer experience.

Project: Development, maintenance of bank capabilities on a sole portal.

About the role:
As a Junior Automation QA engineer, you will be working on a product that’s used by millions of people around the world, improving existing elements and trying new technologies.


Qualifications & Experience
— 1+ years of experience in a similar role or internship role
— Good theoretical background in SQA methodology and process, test levels and test types classifications
— Design and development of Test Cases
— Experience in testing Web applications (FE and BE)
— Understanding of how the Web and client-server architecture work
— Experience in testing RESTful API web service using tools such as Postman or Swagger
— Developing and executing automated test scripts using Java
— Experience working with Windows and Linux/Unix-based systems
— Experience working with VCS (Git or SVN)
— Experience in using Application servers like Tomcat, Websphere, JBoss
— Experience working with CI/CD tools (preferable Jenkins)
— Experience in using toolset (Putty, Fiddler, Charles, Chrome Developer tools and etc.)
— Experience with SQL
— Understanding of SCRUM processes
— Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
— English language to a professional level, written and spoken


Will be a plus:
— Experience in API automation testing using any frameworks (RestAssured as an example)
— Knowledge of bash sripting
— Experience in configuring jobs/pipelines using any CI/CD tools
— Experience in automation testing of web applications (BDD approach, Protractor, Cucumber or Jasmine)
