IT Analyst (Server Migration) (Riga) (offline)

Mandatory skills:

Data Migration, Microsoft/Linux(Ubuntu)/VMWare server domain knowledge, SQL

What will you do:

• Assist with understanding what resides on the servers, what information is kept there, what is quality of the data (on a high level);

• Make clear, who and what is consuming the given data, how it is being used in the company;

• Identify all system integrations and construct an impact assessment based on each server or smaller subset;

• Identify Data Owners to validate, whether the data really needs to be migrated or can we achieve/erase the given data, what is the critical time, when it is required.

Extra activities:

• Changes which depend on third parties;

• Testing of new environments;

• Support data consistency;

• Support compatibility of new versions of applications and new hosting environments.

Requirements:

• Experience in providing Application mapping to ensure smooth migration;

• Understanding of application integrations and its importance;

• Knowledge in migration planning and constructing success criteria and reconciliation of migration;

• Knowledge about server migration, previous working experience seen as a benefit;

• Microsoft/Linux(Ubuntu)/VMWare server domain knowledge seen as a benefit, knowledge of SQL seen as a benefit.
