Backend engineer PHP

FTD Solutions Inc. is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on building and maintaining our platform with a strong emphasis on quality, performance, and security. As a core member, you will plan, develop, and shape our platform, tackle complex design challenges, and implement platform-wide features.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable and secure full-stack platform. (Written in PHP, React, Python, Mysql, Docker)
• Collaborate with team members to implement new features and improve existing functionality
• Conduct code reviews, participate in debugging sessions, and perform refactoring as needed
• Optimize applications for performance and responsiveness on backend
• Apply backend best tools, frameworks and practices(we run Illuminate+scribe/DDD/CICD) to streamline feature development processes and maintain high velocity

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Available for middle and senior engineers
• 2+ years of experience in backend development
• Experience delivering code through CICD pipeline is a must
• DDD is a strong plus
• Algorithmic skills is a plus
• Math background is a plus
• Multilinguality(PHP, Python) is a strong plus
• Good English is required
• AQA experience is a must for writing Unit/API/Integration tests

Foundational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Persistence, flexibility, strong ability to learn
