We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Legal Counsel to join our team.

Our Legal Team is the backbone of compliance and risk management across a diverse range of industries, including fintech & payments, online gambling, digital ed-tech (essay writing services), and subscription-based apps. We navigate complex international regulations, ensuring our business operates smoothly across multiple jurisdictions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Payments & Fintech:

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating agreements with payment providers, acquirers, and financial institutions.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and payment regulations in different jurisdictions.
  • Support the Legal and Compliance team in onboarding procedures and financial compliance reviews.
  • Advise on legal risks related to payment processing and chargeback disputes.

Digital Ed-Tech:

  • Review and draft terms of service, privacy policies, and disclaimers for digital education platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with consumer protection laws and intellectual property rights.
  • Handle legal issues related to advertising, user-generated content, and platform regulations.

Subscription-Based Apps & Digital Products:

  • Draft and review user agreements, refund policies, and platform terms.
  • Ensure compliance with app store policies (Google Play, Apple App Store) and digital subscription regulations.
  • Handle disputes related to consumer rights, chargebacks, and subscription management.

General Corporate & Commercial Legal Support:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, partnerships, and vendor agreements.
  • Provide legal guidance on intellectual property, data protection (GDPR, CCPA), and commercial disputes.
  • Monitor legal changes that impact business operations and advise stakeholders accordingly.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Legal Expertise:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial law, fintech, gambling, digital services, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, intellectual property, and compliance regulations.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Experience in payments, online gambling, digital ed-tech, or subscription-based business models is preferred.
  • Familiarity with KYC, AML, GDPR, advertising regulations, and app store policies.
  • Understanding of risk management, compliance, and dispute resolution in digital businesses.

Key Skills:

  • Contract drafting & negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Experience handling regulatory inquiries, disputes, and compliance assessments.

Personal qualities:

  • Quick apprehension, excellent logical, analytical, and strategic skills.
  • Highly skilled and motivated to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
