Financial Analyst Intern- DeFi Strategies

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Financial Analyst Intern to support the research, analysis, and optimization of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) investment strategies. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the fast-evolving world of blockchain-based finance, including yield optimization, staking, liquidity provision, and risk assessment- through a Shariah-aligned lens.

You will work closely with the core strategy and analytics team to evaluate DeFi protocols, model performance metrics, and assist in developing sustainable, ethical, and compliant DeFi investment frameworks.

 🔍Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial and on-chain analysis of DeFi protocols, including DEXs, staking, lending, and yield aggregators.
   
• Evaluate APY, risk, and liquidity metrics across various DeFi strategies and platforms.
  
  Assist in creating financial models for yield projections, risk-return analysis, and scenario testing.
   
• Support the team in monitoring portfolio performance, protocol updates, and ecosystem developments.
   
• Research and summarize emerging trends in DeFi, tokenomics, and restaking mechanisms.
   
• Contribute to reports and presentations summarizing strategy performance and optimization recommendations.
   
• Apply Islamic finance principles to assess compliance and identify ethical DeFi opportunities.
   
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams remotely and present findings during weekly strategy reviews.
  
   

✅ Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
   
• Minimum 6 months of experience trading or investing in DeFi (e.g., staking, yield farming, or liquidity provision).
   
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, decentralized exchanges, and token economics.
   
• Proficiency with DeFi analytics tools (e.g., DefiLlama, DeBank, Zapper, Dune Analytics, or similar).
   
• Basic knowledge of Islamic finance principles and Shariah-compliant investment structures.
   
• Solid quantitative and analytical skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
   
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
   
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
   

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience building or using yield models, dashboards, or Dune queries.
   
• Familiarity with Python, Excel, or Google Sheets modeling.
   
• Awareness of liquid staking, restaking, and yield optimization protocols (e.g., Lido, EigenLayer, Yearn, Beefy).
   
• Interest in ethical or impact-focused DeFi innovation.
