Technical Content Writer / Sales Engineer
Who is TrustNet?
TrustNet is a leading provider of cybersecurity and compliance services, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We support mid-sized and large organizations across a wide range of industries around the world. Our mission is to help clients drive business transformation by embedding security and compliance into every interaction.
We’re looking for dynamic, results-driven professionals to join our growing team. At TrustNet, you’ll gain high visibility, make a meaningful impact, and enjoy accelerated opportunities for advancement. Collaborate with diverse clients to solve complex and rewarding technology challenges.
Who would be a great fit for this role?
We’re seeking a technically inclined content creator with strong cybersecurity and compliance knowledge — someone equally comfortable explaining SOC 2 scope to a client as they are writing a whitepaper about it.
This hybrid position (approximately 70–80% content creation and 20–30% sales engineering) bridges TrustNet’s Marketing and Sales functions. The ideal candidate may come from an IT audit, cybersecurity, or compliance operations background and is now seeking a role that blends technical acumen with communication and storytelling.
You’ll work cross-functionally to create content that educates, informs, and persuades — while also joining discovery, renewal, and scoping calls to lend technical expertise that helps shape solutions and pricing.
If you’re passionate about cybersecurity, love turning complex topics into compelling content, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same, this role is for you.
What you will do in this role
Content Creation (70–80%)
- Research, write, and edit high-quality technical and marketing content, including:
- Blogs, whitepapers, e-books, case studies, and thought-leadership articles.
- Sales enablement materials such as one-pagers, client decks, and product sheets.
- Service page and landing page copy that supports lead generation and conversion.
- Translate complex cybersecurity and compliance concepts (SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, etc.) into engaging, accessible, and technically accurate content.
- Collaborate with SMEs, BDMs, AMs, and the Marketing team to ensure content is aligned with TrustNet’s brand and messaging strategy.
- Develop and refine visual aids, diagrams, and solution workflows for client presentations and marketing collateral.
- Ensure all content is optimized for search (SEO/GEO) and conversion (form fills, Calendly bookings, inquiries).
- Maintain content consistency, clarity, and authority across all TrustNet communication channels.
Sales Engineer Support (20–30%)
- Join sales discovery, renewal, and scoping calls to provide technical input and credibility during client conversations.
- Act as a liaison between Sales and Operations — ensuring accurate translation of client requirements into clear scopes of work.
- Assist BDMs and AMs in pricing engagements based on defined parameters and technical complexity.
- Provide subject matter guidance on cybersecurity frameworks, audit readiness, and control environments.
- Support proposal and presentation preparation by ensuring technical precision and alignment with client needs.
- Collaborate with SMEs and delivery teams to clarify scope boundaries and ensure accurate expectations are set pre-sale.
What education you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees and certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor) are preferred but not required.
What experience is required
- 3–6+ years of experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, or compliance (e.g., SOC, PCI, ISO, HIPAA).
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical topics to both business and technical audiences.
- Strong writing and editing background with experience producing content across multiple formats (web, whitepapers, sales collateral).
- Experience supporting pre-sales or client engagement processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Monday.com, and standard content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
What knowledge and skills you will need
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Confidence in leading or contributing to client-facing conversations with credibility and professionalism.
- Ability to translate technical depth into clear, compelling narratives and visuals.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Collaborative mindset — able to partner effectively with Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams.
