Senior Unreal Engine Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Engine Engineer with deep expertise in Unreal Engine graphics pipelines, rendering optimization, and console performance tuning. Our first title is an ambitious 3rd-person smart shooter with unique visual and gameplay mechanics - this is not your typical shooter! Your mission will be to push visual fidelity while maintaining peak performance across current generation consoles.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

• Profile GPU and CPU performance to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and stability issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Tech Art teams to optimize rendering pipeline.
• Improve frame pacing, memory usage, shading complexity, and material performance.
• Dive deep into Unreal Engine’s RHI, Niagara, lighting, and post-processing systems.
• Propose and implement scalability strategies for different console performance modes (quality/performance).
• Share rendering knowledge and mentor team members in graphics best practices.
• Provide accurate performance targets and delivery timelines to production.
  
   

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS WE LOOK FOR

• 7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in Unreal Engine.
• Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine rendering architecture (UE4/UE5).
• Proven experience shading, lighting, and material performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience profiling and optimizing on PS5 and/or Xbox Series X (preferably both).
• Experience working with Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Shadow Maps, Niagara, or custom shaders is a major plus.
• Familiarity with GPU debugging tools (PIX, RenderDoc, Nsight, Razor, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of rendering systems.
• Prior console or AAA experience strongly preferred.
