We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Lead Development Specialist to power our outbound sales engine. This role ensures every campaign designed by Sales leadership is flawlessly executed, from list building and email validation to campaign setup and performance reporting.
You will not be responsible for defining campaign strategy or writing messaging. Instead, you will own the operational backbone of outbound prospecting, ensuring our BD team has clean data, accurate targeting, and transparent results. Key Responsibilities
- Build lead lists aligned to campaign criteria
- Export from CRM and enrich with net new contacts using Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Crunchbase, and other tools
- Update CRM contact and company database hygiene
- Deduplicate, validate, and segment contact lists to maintain data quality
- Run all new contacts through verification to ensure bounce rates stay under 3%
- Load and launch outbound campaigns with messaging provided by Sales leadership
- Conduct test sends to validate formatting, deliverability, and links before launch
- Monitor real-time performance including bounces, opens, replies, and meetings booked
- Understand ICP fit buying signals and locations where to gather information
- Deliver weekly reports and maintain dashboards with historical campaign performance
- Flag anomalies such as high bounce or low reply rates to Sales for rapid adjustments
- Support event-related prospecting and follow-up campaigns as needed
- Stay updated on company offerings and services, and value proposition
Must Haves
- At least 2 years of experience in sales development, marketing operations, or outbound campaign execution
- Hands-on experience with lead generation and list building tools such as Apollo, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Strong CRM skills in HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent systems
- Familiarity with outreach automation tools such as Outreach.io, SalesLoft, Lemlist, or Apollo
- Process-driven, detail-focused, and consistent in execution
Comfort with fast-changing priorities in a growth environment
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting B2B outbound at a professional/engineering services, consultancy, or SaaS company
- Familiarity with account-based marketing approaches
- Knowledge of email deliverability and domain health best practices
