Static/Creative Ads Designer to $2000
About the Role
We're seeking a talented Static Designer to create high-converting static ads for Facebook and Instagram based on Eugene Schwartz's Breakthrough Advertising principles. You'll work with our Shopify landing page agency to develop ad creative/static images that align with different market awareness levels, creating imagery that drives conversions across diverse e-commerce brands.
This is about performance, not just aesthetics. We need someone with a keen eye for what converts, not just what looks pretty.
Key Responsibilities
- Design static ad creatives for Facebook and Instagram campaigns aligned with our 5-level market awareness framework
- Create visual assets that complement our landing pages tailored to each awareness stage:
- Most Aware
- Product Aware
- Solution Aware
- Problem Aware
- Unaware
- Interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling visual stories
- Deliver weekly batches of designs across multiple client accounts
- Maintain brand consistency while adapting messaging for different awareness levels
Collaborate with our copywriting and strategy teams to ensure visual-message alignment
Focus on conversion-driven design decisions backed by performance marketing principles
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Essential: Deep understanding of market awareness levels and how visual communication changes across the awareness spectrum
- Proven track record of creating high-converting ad creatives (not just visually appealing designs)
- 2+ years of experience in social media ad design (Facebook/Instagram focus)
- Proficiency in Figma and/or Canva (please specify your preferred tool)
- 2+ years of experience in social media ad design (Facebook/Instagram focus)
- Portfolio demonstrating:
- Direct response ad designs with performance metrics (if available)
- Understanding of visual hierarchy for different audience segments
- Experience with problem-solving/solution-based products
- Clear before/after examples showing improved conversion rates
- Strong grasp of social media ad specifications and best practices
- Ability to work with multiple brands simultaneously while maintaining quality
- Eye for direct response design elements: clear CTAs, benefit-focused layouts, urgency triggers
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Eugene Schwartz's Breakthrough Advertising concepts
- Experience with e-commerce/Shopify brands
- Understanding of direct response marketing principles
- Experience working with health, beauty, or lifestyle brands
Understanding of scroll-stopping techniques and thumb-stopping creative
What You'll Work On

- Weekly design sprints with 5-10 static variations per client

- Retargeting creative sets for different funnel stages
Work Arrangement
- 100% Remote Position
- 32-40 hours per week. We do a test assignment first (free!), then trial month (paid).
- Weekly batch delivery schedule
- Flexible hours with some overlap for team collaboration
- Must be responsive during agreed-upon communication windows
