Head of Payments (iGaming)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Payments to lead our payment operations across global markets. This critical role will drive the evolution of our payment infrastructure, optimize transaction performance, and ensure seamless financial experiences for our customers worldwide. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to manage complex payment ecosystems in the iGaming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive payment strategy aligned with business expansion goals across multiple jurisdictions
• Oversee integration and management of Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and payment method portfolio including cards, APMs, and cryptocurrency solutions
• Monitor payment system performance, conduct testing processes, and optimize conversion rates globally
• Identify, negotiate, and manage contracts with PSPs, banks, and alternative payment providers to optimize costs
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry partners and expand payment provider network
• Implement fraud prevention measures, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage chargeback rates across jurisdictions
• Analyze payment conversion funnels, conduct A/B testing, and provide data-driven insights for optimization
• Generate comprehensive performance reports and establish KPIs for payment operations
• Partner with finance, compliance, IT, and product teams to support business expansion and technical initiatives

• Monitor competitor strategies, industry best practices, and facilitate internal-external communication

   

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in online payments and payment processing with 3+ years in leadership position
• Proven experience in iGaming industry with deep understanding of gambling payment specifics
• Deep understanding of payment infrastructure including card processing, APMs, cryptocurrency, and API integrations
• Knowledge of payment security standards (PCI DSS), fraud prevention, and analytics tools
• Comprehensive understanding of global payment regulations and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Familiarity with Tier-3 markets, Latin America, Asia, and iGaming-specific payment challenges
• Proven track record of managing payment teams and coordinating with international partners
• Strong negotiation skills and established network within payments and iGaming industries
• Ability to analyze payment funnels, optimize performance through data-driven decisions, and manage multiple projects
• Excellence in building stakeholder relationships and adapting to dynamic regulatory environments
• Upper-intermediate to advanced English proficiency for global collaboration
