QA Engineer

Job Description:

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing our applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring that new and existing functionalities meet both technical and business requirements. You will collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in software testing methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.

US schedule. Working hours from 04:00 pm to 00:00 am EET;

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases based on product requirements
  • Perform manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and/or desktop applications
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely bug fixes
  • Perform regression testing to ensure software stability after changes
  • Verify and validate new features, enhancements, and fixes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that testing aligns with project goals
  • Provide clear and concise feedback on test results and overall product quality
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and testing efficiency
  • Keep up with industry trends, new tools, and technologies related to software testing
     

Requirements:

  • 0.5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Experience with manual testing of web and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, Postman, or similar
  • Understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello, Bugzilla)
  • Basic understanding of Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases and bug reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC
     

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Cypress, Appium, or Robot Framework
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Java for test automation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into build processes
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications
