Senior Python Backend Developer (AI-powered Video Platform)

shape the technical foundation of a growing startup, working closely with the CTO/founder and a small, focused team.

Who we’re looking for

- 4+ years of professional backend experience with Python (FastAPI preferred)
- Experience with AI integration (RAG, LLM agents, knowledge bases)
- Strong AWS skills, especially with Lambda, Cognito, S3, and serverless architecture
- Good understanding of Node.js/TypeScript (even at a basic level)
- Ability to design and scale RESTful APIs
- Self-driven, comfortable working in a startup environment
- Clear communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

- Video parsing, processing, or streaming experience

- Familiarity with frontend (React) for better collaboration

Your role

- Build and maintain backend services in Python (FastAPI or similar)

- Create and deploy serverless APIs on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway)

- Implement secure user authentication (AWS Cognito)

- Set up cloud storage and processing (AWS S3)

- Work on AI-powered features: integrate RAG, LLM agents, and contextual search

- Parse and process video content and metadata from social media

- Collaborate with AI architect, frontend developer, and product team

- Contribute to infrastructure design and CI/CD pipelines

- Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of backend systems
