Backend Engineer – Intelligent Sports Products

We’re looking for a creative and technically strong Backend Engineer to help us transform sensor data into meaningful, personalized insights for athletes and lifestyle users. This remote role focuses on building the intelligence layer that powers how our products recommend optimal usage, as just the beginning.

What You’ll Do

You’ll design and implement the backend architecture that can manage more users and make our products smarter.

Some things you’ll tackle:
 

• Architect a backend that can support up to 1000 prototype users
• Work with sensor logs from ESP32-based hardware arriving via iOS app
• Integrate external data sources
• Create logic for recommendations
• Experiment with an LLM-powered intelligence
• Prototype lightweight agents
• Help shape whether we build quickly for pilots or invest in more production-ready infrastructure

Essential skills

• Advanced backend development (Python, Node.js, or similar)
• Experience with data pipelines and APIs
• Database design for handling time-series and sensor data
• Familiarity with cloud platforms

Work Details

• Time: 8–40 hours/week as fits with your schedule and project schedule over next 6 weeks.
• Duration: Serious project over 1-2 months. Extended to the foreseeable future.
• Location: Remote, ideally CET ±1–2 hours
• Collaboration: Strong English
