Strong Middle PHP Engineer

Position Overview

As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the backend components of Impactable’s Demand Generation Platform — DemandSense. It is a SaaS application developed for marketing automation, optimization and improving ad performance. For more information visit our website page.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve existing functionality, implement new features, and ensure the seamless integration of our platform with external systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using PHP (Laravel) to support the core functionalities of our marketing automation platform.
2. Optimize application performance and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues as they arise
3. Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
4. Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend the functionality of our platform and facilitate seamless data exchange.
5. Maintain and monitor server infrastructure on AWS, including provisioning and configuring EC2 instances.
6. Monitor system logs and metrics, implement monitoring and alerting solutions (when needed), and respond to incidents and alerts in a timely manner to minimize downtime and mitigate potential risks.

Requirements:

• Proven experience developing web applications with Laravel for backend
• Experience with JSON API is a plus
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, with experience designing and optimizing database schemas and queries
• Proven experience working with large volumes of data
• Experience in seamless integration and maintenance of 3rd party services, API monitoring, and management
• Familiarity with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda, and experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and SLAs.
• English intermediate level

• Experience in Front-end area (e.g. React)
• Experience in the marketing field, understanding of contemporary marketing trends
